| Experience | I have been fishing my entire life. As a kid, I spent weekends and vacations traveling the west coast with my dad, our dog, and his teeny skiff. I have been kayak fishing since 2002. I needed a way to get on the water after I sold my boat and I never looked back. I owned and operated the Great White Kayak Company for a number of years before signing on to East Cape Kayak Fishing. Guiding in Northern California as well Baja California has given me the opportunity to catch a ridiculous variety of species from steelhead to roosterfish. |
| Achievements | I’m most proud of winning the NCKA Angler of the Year in 2008, as well as a number of NCKA “big fish” category wins over the years. Winning in 2008 was further sweetened by my daughter winning the kids division the same year. I am also proud of technical contributions I have made to the overall advancement of kayak fishing. I pioneered the earliest versions of river drifting anchors and loved working with Kokatat on the first-ever line of technical wear for kayak fisherman. |
| Biggest Adventure | In 2008 I spent 30 plus days in Baja road tripping the entire peninsula with my son and a handful of good friends. We fished until we were RAW and had the time of our lives. Another favorite trip was drifting the Klamath for 5 days with a great group of guys in October of 2010. We fished the Chinook salmon run. Fishing in the day, grilling elk for dinner, and sleeping under the stars…Life is good! |
| The future | My favorite fishing pursuit is to put kids on fish and get them hooked on the outdoors. |
