| Experience | I have been paddling a SOT specifically for fishing since 2003. Started paddling 4 years prior. |
| Achievements | Captain's License from the US Coast Guard - Master of Steam and Power Upon the Great Lakes and inland waters (2009). TKAA kayak fishing tournament (2007). 1st place in the Redfish division Big Fish Bash (2008). 2nd Place in the all species kayak division Cabela's King Kat Tournament trail, finished in top third of the field against powerboats. | Biggest Adventure | Being dropped off for a weeklong fishing/camping trip on the west coast of the Queen Charlotte Islands, BC. Fishing on the open Pacific in 12 foot swells was quite challenging as was getting dry and cooking on an open fire throught the constant rain. |
| Life These Days | Paddling/fishing season here on the Great Lakes for me usually starts at ice out, although I have been known to drag my kayak over ice to get to the open water. The season usually ends when ice has covered productive water. When I can't fish on the Great Lakes it is prime time to head to warmer water. |
