Experience I started paddling at 16 to try and impress the girls in my school.
Achievements I was on the Canadian junior freestyle team at 16, going to worlds in OZ after paddling for only 4 months. But I would have to say my biggest achievement to date is sticking upper Johnstons falls when I was 19. Since then I’ve just been creeking my face off!
Biggest Adventure I’ve had so many great adventures to date that it is hard to pick just one. From traveling around Mexico, South America, Africa, Norway, Europe, OZ, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka and of course good old Canada! I think what makes a great adventure is the people you are with. I could have a billion dollars, travel around the world 6 times, but if I had no one to share it with, it would mean nothing to me. I want to thank all the boys that have made all our trips as outstanding as they were!
Philosophy While in Mexico last year, I was hanging out with some friends who are pro dirt bikers. We got into a conversation about doing things that push the limit of the human body and mind. We came up with a question that you have to ask yourself: What would you rather do; live on your knees, or die on your feet? Take it for what it is. Get out there and enjoy the water!
