Experience 12 years overall kayaking, 5 years of “real” sea kayaking.
Achievements Leading a life of freedom, excitement and challenge. Overall women’s winner Greenland National Championship 2006, with 8 individual gold medals in different races and rolling. Most successful foreign competitor ever. 1st place Arctic Sea Kayak Marathon (2004), 2nd place 300 km race Sea Challenge Fyn (2006), a day’s 110 km race around the Isle of Man in 14:07 hrs. Featured in “This is the Sea III”, a video by Justine Curgenven. Record circumnavigation of Iceland with Greg Stamer in 2007 (25 paddling/33 overall days only), averaging 65 km per day on 1620 km, with just 7 days of preparation at home! First female circumnavigation of New Zealand's South Island, solo and unsupported, in record setting 70 (47 paddling) days. Record setting first female and first solo circumnavigation of Australia in 332 days (245 paddling days).
Biggest Adventure Having the freedom to get frequently invited to international symposiums and to paddle on exciting sea kayaking places all over the world - every day brings a new challenge... I enjoy being a “missionary” in the fine art of rolling, and love to explore new coastlines!
