All of our life vests are approved by the US COAST GUARD and meet or exceed US COAST GUARD buoyancy requirements. Selected models are Canadian Coast Guard and CE approved.

Kokatat’s Type V rescue life vests are 500D Cordura® outer and 200D nylon oxford inner shell come with reflective tape, ergonomic pockets, sensible storage capacity, attachment points for accessories and the strength recommended by the United States Coast Guard for swiftwater towing and/or rescue.

These accessories allow you to mix and match storage capacity solutions based upon individual needs. Our clip-on Rear Pocket or the Tributary Hydration System (1.8 liter reservoir) can be attached to all of our PFDs with a full foam back (excluding Orbit and SeaO2) as can the reflective tape (except Eureka and Bahia). The Rear Pocket attaches to all Kokatat PFDs with a full foam back except SeaO2 and Orbit.
